Notes |
This is a not-to-be-missed talk by Prof. Garrison Nelson, University of Vermont, that will appeal to political junkies, Kennedy aficionados, and local Boston pols. It’ll cover the rise of political dynasties in Boston and explore the early confrontations between the future President and the future Speaker of the House. Professor Nelson is a prolific writer and public speaker; he co-authored The Austin-Boston Connection: Five Decades of House Democratic Leadership, 1937-1989, which was nominated for the 2010 D. B. Hardeman Prize at the Lyndon B. Johnson Library. |
