Chase Harrison
Preceptor in Survey Research
Biographical Note:
Chase H. Harrison is Preceptor in Survey Research in the Department of Government, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Harvard University. He teaches courses in survey methods, advises faculty and students on research projects, and develops resources in survey instruction. Dr. Harrison has more than 15 years of applied survey research experience, and has focused his career on implementing survey research protocols in an academic setting. He was the founding methodologist of the Center for Survey Research and Analysis at the University of Connecticut. He previously worked at the Roper Center for Public Opinion Research and at Market Strategies, Inc., in Southfield, Michigan. He has written or co-written entries in several reference books, and is currently completing a monograph for Sage Publications (with Sam Best) on Survey Nonresponse. He received his Ph.D. in Political Science and M.A. in Political Science with a concentration in Survey Research, from the University of Connecticut. He received his B.A. from St. John’s College in Annapolis. He currently serves on the Chapter Relations and Book Award committees of the American Association of Public Opinion Research.
