Methods and Formal Theory

Pedram Safari received his PhD in mathematics from the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, Columbia University, in 2000 under the supervision of John W Morgan. His research is in Seiberg-Witten theory, part of his broader interest in Differential Geometry and Mathematical Physics. He has received his B.S. in mathematics from Sharif University of Technology and has been a postdoctoral fellow at a few research institutes, including the Mathematics Section at ICTP, Italy and the Mathematics Department at Harvard, and has taught mathematics at various levels and to a variety of audiences. Pedram's interest in pedagogy stems from his "cultural" interest in disseminating mathematics at different levels. He has joined the Government Department as a Mathematics Preceptor since 2008.
