Arjun Ramamurti
Ph.D. Candidate, American Politics

Arjun Ramamurti studies federal courts, legislation, administrative law, and legal history. He is especially interested in the legacy of the common law in the United States. He holds an A.B. from Harvard College (Social Studies, summa cum laude); an M.Phil from Trinity College, Cambridge (Political Thought and Intellectual History, with Distinction); and a J.D. from Yale Law School, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Yale Law Journal. He has clerked on the United States Supreme Court for Justice Stephen G. Breyer and on the D.C. Circuit for then-Chief Judge Merrick B. Garland and Judge Cornelia T.L. Pillard.

He is currently on leave at the Department of Justice.
