Department of Government

While of course there can be no guarantee of a job placement in any particular case, the department and the University's Office of Career Services do everything we can to help with your job search. When students reach a suitable stage in their graduate study, we forward their credentials to other institutions, and we encourage our students to give practice "Job talks." Faculty and staff are at the disposal of job candidates for advice, letters of recommendation, and assistance, under the guidance of a faculty member who serves as Placement Officer.

Recent Government Department graduates obtained teaching positions at University of Michigan, Yale, Stanford, Princeton, University of Chicago, UCLA, and MIT to name but a few.
