Biographical Note:

Lanhee J. Chen is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Government. His research interests focus in the areas of judicial politics, campaigns and elections, and the presidency. Chen has had significant teaching experience in the Department of Government and is a six-time winner of the Harvard University Certificate of Distinction in Teaching. In addition to his academic work, Chen has had extensive policy, political, and legal experience. Most notably, he was a health policy advisor to the Bush-Cheney '04 campaign, Winnie Neubauer Visiting Fellow in Health Policy Studies at The Heritage Foundation, and a Summer Associate in the Los Angeles office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP. Chen earned his J.D. cum laude from Harvard Law School, an A.M. in Political Science from Harvard's Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, and an A.B. degree magna cum laude in Government from Harvard College.
