Undergraduate Program
For Seniors
As you prepare for your final year in the Government Department, the most important thing to do before classes begin in the Fall is to check your Requirements Remaining Form. (For an example of this form, click here). It is your responsibility to make sure that you have met all requirements.
The Undergraduate Program Office will email you this form as an email attachment, so it should be convenient for you to see what classes, if any, you still need to complete in order to meet the Department’s requirements. You can also meet with your House Concentration Adviser to discuss your remaining requirements.
If you have not received this Requirements Remaining Form by Registration, or if you do not understand or disagree with what we believe to be your remaining requirements, call, email, or stop by the Undergraduate Program Office as soon as possible. If you have questions about petitioning for courses to count for subfield credit, contact us with your specific course-credit questions.
When you register in the fall of your senior year, we will also ask you to complete a Senior Form. The Senior Form will be emailed to you prior to registration, and it is also available online here. The Senior Form will take you only a minute to complete, but it’s very important for the Undergraduate Program Office. We need to know if you’re planning to graduate in the Spring, if you’re planning to be on the Honors track by writing a thesis, and if you have any updated contact information that we don’t yet have in our system.
If you are planning to write a thesis this year, then please read this Memo to Senior Thesis Writers about additional steps you need to take prior to Registration in the Fall. This memo will be emailed to you at the end of the summer.
