Exterior of Cgis Knafel Building

Every three years, the American Political Science Association, APSA, awards the James Madison Award to an American political scientist who has made a distinguished scholarly contribution to political science. This year, Theda Skocpol, Victor S. Thomas Professor of Government and Sociology, received this honor. Professor Skocpol joins a rare group of political scientists who have won this prize, including Nobel laureates Elinor Ostrom and Herbert Simon, our Department colleagues James Q. Wilson and Sid Verba, and our University colleague Jane Mansbridge.
