Ava Pallotta
Peer Concentration Counselor
Class of 2025 (Quincy House)

Hi Everyone! My name is Ava Pallotta and I am a junior in Quincy House double-concentrating in Government and Sociology. I am originally from Rye Brook, NY and ecstatic to serve as one of your Government PCCs this year! My interests in Government include public policy, electoral politics, and data science. I am particularly passionate about people-focused public policy and seek to understand how federal legislation can best meet the unique needs of individual groups, states, and localities. My favorite Gov classes have included GOV 50, which was my first introduction to data science, and my sophomore tutorial on the Politics of Dignity.

Outside of class, I am active in both the Institute of Politics (IOP) and theatre arts on campus. At the IOP, I co-Chair the Harvard Votes Challenge, leading 8 teams and 50+ volunteers in student civic engagement and get out the vote efforts. I am also a part of the Women’s Initiative in Leadership Program and serve on the IOP’s Student Advisory Council. In the arts, I am directing a production of Heathers: the Musical on the Loeb MainStage in Fall 2023 and am the Tech Vice President for the Hasty Pudding Theatricals. I also serve as the Director of Partnerships for Voters of Tomorrow, a national 501c(4) that focuses on youth activism.

I’m always happy to chat about double-concentrating, whether or not gov is right for you, or just politics in general – please don’t hesitate to reach out!
