Peer Concentration Counselor
Class of 2026 (Leverett House)

My name is Bijah LaFollette, and I’m from New York City. I’m a rising senior in Leverett House concentrating in Government and Economics. I’m especially passionate about the opportunity to integrate software into government systems to improve transparency, efficiency, and accessibility. Whether it’s modernizing outdated infrastructure or building tools that help public agencies better serve constituents, I’m fascinated by how technology can drive more responsive and equitable governance.

Some of my favorite courses have included GOV 1780: International Political Economy with Professor Frieden and GOV 97, a sophomore tutorial on Education, Housing, and Credit in Democracies. I’ve also published research on China’s data laws and written on topics like digital government innovation and public-sector SaaS adoption.

Outside the classroom, I’ve interned at Banneker Partners and will be working this summer at The Riverside Company, where I focus on software investing. On campus, I’ve taught government and international politics through HSA Academies, served as a course assistant for Ec10, and commentated on football and basketball games for WHRB sports. In my free time, I love playing pickup basketball and tennis, and finding my next Netflix show to watch.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions about the Gov concentration, course selection, research opportunities, or just want to chat about tech, policy, or anything else!
