Hello, my name is Bobby Current and I am a senior in Eliot House studying Government with a Secondary in History. I live in Olive Branch, MS, and am excited to be a Peer Concentration Counselor this year.
My interests in Government are largely focused on the American subfield, though I have also been increasingly interested in comparative politics. Some classes I have particularly enjoyed are GOV 1539: Politics of the American Presidency (Jon Rogowski), Gov 94NS: Nations and Nationalism (Dan Epstein), and Gov 1138: Propaganda and Politics: Past and Present (George Soroka). I’ve enjoyed every class I have taken in the department though; you can’t go wrong studying Government.
Outside of the department, I am involved in Harvard Model Congress (HMC) and Harvard Political Union (HPU). I am also involved in my House community more broadly. My non-academic interests include creative writing, poetry, and occasionally cooking.
