Peer Concentration Counselor
Class of 2026 (Dunster House)

Hi Y’all! I am Denver Tolson, and I’m from Duluth, Georgia. I am a senior in Dunster House concentrating in government with a secondary in Classical Civilizations and a citation in Korean. I’m very excited to be a PCC and help other students who are also interested in government.

I’m passionate about using policy as a tool for meaningful social change, especially in the realm of criminal justice. I’m particularly interested in how the legal system intersects with broader political structures to shape inequality, and I hope to pursue a career in law to help address some of these systemic issues. One of my favorite parts of the Government department is the freedom to explore these questions from so many different angles. A standout class for me was GOV 1090: The Ethics of Biotech with Professor Imperato, which challenged me to think critically about the intersection of technology, ethics, and public policy.

Outside of the classroom, I’m involved in the Phillips Brooks House Association as a board member for HOPE (Harvard Organization for Prison Education and Advocacy), where we work to expand access to education and advocate for justice-involved individuals. I’m also a member of the Harvard Women’s Soccer Team and currently serve as the Vice President of Harvard Athlete Ally, which works to foster inclusion for LGBTQ+ athletes. Previously, I was a Peer Advising Fellow and loved getting to support first-years as they navigated their first year on campus.

In my free time, I love being active, exploring new parts of the city, and spending time with teammates and friends. Please don’t hesitate to reach out! I’m always happy to talk about anything from classes and extracurriculars to finding community and purpose at Harvard.
