Isabelle King
Peer Concentration Counselor
Class of 2025 (Currier House)

Hi all, my name is Isabelle King. I’m a junior in Winthrop House concentrating in Government, with a focus in IR, and pursuing a citation in Chinese. Within the discipline, my main interest lies at the intersection of national security and human rights. I am thrilled to be a PCC this year!

My freshman fall, a former PCC encouraged me to take Professor Kertzer’s Gov 1790: American Foreign Policy. I loved the course’s subject material and teaching staff. After such a positive experience, I knew I wanted to concentrate in Gov. The department has not let me down! Since then, some of my favorite courses have been Gov 1249: Authoritarianism with Professor Hummel and an interdisciplinary course between Gov and East Asian Studies on China’s Cultural Revolution.

Outside of class, I run copy editing at the Harvard International Review (HIR) and am involved in the HMUN conference. Ask me about how to get involved with either organization.

I am excited to share my knowledge about Gov and Harvard. Please reach out if you would like to chat!
