My research focuses on the interplay between economic statecraft and the fluid political landscape within the targeted state. I posit that this relationship is both reciprocal and mutable, indicating that the deployment of economic statecraft can indeed drive political transformation. My goal is to enrich the discourse on economic statecraft by shedding light on its subnational political impacts. Specifically, I aim to elucidate the conditions that enhance the effectiveness of economic statecraft.
