Mathis Bitton is a Ph.D. candidate in the Government Department studying political theory and intellectual history. His interests include Chinese political thought, liberalism and its critics, the politics of technology, and democratic theory. His current work focuses on the reception of nineteenth- and twentieth-century continental philosophy in contemporary China. Mathis received a B.A. in Political Science from Yale College.
