I am a doctoral student in the Department of Government studying health diplomacy and security. My research interests center on exploring how states and non-state actors strategically use healthcare to achieve political objectives and under what circumstances these strategies are successful. I received my bachelor’s from the University of Rochester and spent time as a health economics and outcomes research analyst prior to beginning my graduate studies. I also currently support research on HIV care provision in conflict-prone settings through my work with GHESKIO, a Haitian medical center and research facility based in Port-au-Prince. I am an affiliate of the Institute for Quantitative Social Science, the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs, and the Center for American Politics. I am a member of the Associate Board for the Alliance for International Medical Action (ALIMA).
