Peer Concentration Counselor
Class of 2027 (Eliot House)

Hello! I’m Summer Sun, a junior in Eliot House (Domus!) from Chico, California studying Government with a secondary in Computer Science. I’m beyond excited to serve as a PCC!

My specific interest within Government is the interaction between social equity, democracy, and emerging technology. I’ve done summer research as a BLISS fellow and a winter internship with the Democratic Knowledge Project at the Harvard Center for Ethics, and am also working as a research assistant with the Harvard Kennedy School’s Allen Lab for Democracy Renovation as well as the Practicing Democracy Project. The Government department truly has so many opportunities to be a part of!

Besides nerding out over Government, I’m also involved in the Chinese Students Association and the Harvard Computer Society’s Responsible Computing Collective. I also serve as a Peer Advising Fellow, so I can also help with any general Harvard questions too as well as those related to Government. I’m probably responsible for at least 10% of Berryline’s total revenue, and I also enjoy reading, drinking matcha, and watching videos of raccoons eating grapes.

I have experience in changing concentrations, technology policy, research, and taking graduate classes, and I’m also super happy to talk about anything that might be on your mind. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or want to talk!
