The Wheatley Institution at Brigham Young University is pleased to announce the annual Wheatley International Affairs Conference (WIAC) will be held Wednesday, February 27 – Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Aspen Grove, a university-owned lodge and conference center near the Sundance Ski Resort in Provo Canyon. WIAC 2013 will bring together students from across the nation in a lively, exciting exchange of ideas on themes relating to International Development. In addition to hearing from remarkable keynote speakers (including lots of opportunity for Q&A and other informal discussion), student delegates will engage in roundtable discussions and collaborate on a policy recommendation paper that will be published as part of the WIAC proceedings. Altogether, this conference provides students with remarkable opportunities.
We invite you to identify two interested and qualified students from your institution to join us in 2013. We would also encourage you to include this opportunity in budget discussions, where appropriate. While the fee for the conference is modest, many student delegates benefit from help with travel costs.
