Annual FACES Conference - Stanford

Every year, FACES holds a faculty-advised, student-run conference under the aegis of the Center for East Asian Studies at Stanford University. Through the conference, we seek to promote discussion of many issues in U.S.-China relations and create a community for our outstanding delegates. The mission of FACES is to provide a forum for future leaders to form lasting friendships through debate and discussion of salient issues facing the two countries.

The Annual FACES Conference has two parts. The first part takes place in October at Stanford, and the second is in April at one of our chapter universities in China. We have invited some of the most prestigious scholars to come and address these student delegates on many different aspects of Sino-American relations. Our past speakers include George Bush Sr., Condoleezza Rice, John Major, William Perry, Zbigniew Brzezinski, Thomas Friedman, Richard Levin, John Huntsman and the list goes on.FACES covers all costs for food, transportation, and accommodation during the conferences for our delegates. Additional coverage is available based on needs. You can read more about our conference here .

Our application for the 2014-2015 conferences has just gone live online at http://www.stanfordfaces.org/delegate-application. Our application deadline is May 21, 2014. We would greatly appreciate it if you could forward this email to anyone you think might benefit from this opportunity.
