Jacob Auchincloss, Class of 2010
Served as a Marine infantry platoon commander in Afghanistan and then commanded a joint riverine training team in Panama where Marine and Colombian special operators trained the Panamanian Public Forces in counter-narcotics patrolling. Ran a voter mobilization program for Charlie Baker’s 2014 campaign while also writing about municipal policy for Stephen Goldsmith at HKS. I then defeated an incumbent to assume office, myself, as a city councilor in Newton in 2015. Have an MBA from MIT Sloan and am a product manager for a cybersecurity venture. Right now, I’m trying to balance business (full-time) with politics (part-time). I’ll have to choose one for the next phase of my career, and to be honest, I’m not sure which one!
